BEAUTY

Here we go. I'm a photoman and my mom was a model. I take hundreds of photos of women every year. I respect how hard they work on their beauty. My job is to make them look great.

So after ten years in the business I ask myself a few questions: How did this girl put herself together? Why did she choose her hair, makeup, and dress?  What are her best features? At what angle do I shoot? Is the light right? Do I feature her face, her chest, her dress, or her legs? How can I give her the best?

By the way, I don't think about the s word because I'm on a job. However, the s stuff, for a photoman, is a necessary backup. And these girls know it.

So while I'm on the job I ask myself, 'What is beauty to this gal?' And way after the job I ask myself, 'What is beauty?'

I wish mom were alive so that I could ask her. But instead, I'll ask you.

So please send your comments and photos to beautyblog.com
